What Parents Are Saying About Kumon
Math. Reading. Success.

My son is very smart and I didn’t think he was being challenged enough in school. He wasn’t getting a lot of practice in math and reading and I believe if you practice it, you master it. We have a saying in Arabic that, when translated, means “repetition teaches smart people to be smarter”. Kumon’s approach of practice and repetition is actually what drew me to the program. My son is 13 now, but when he was in first and second grade I didn’t have to worry about teaching him his weekly spelling list because he already mastered the words through Kumon of Perrysburg. My girls are in first grade and also go to Kumon of Perrysburg and I forget about their weekly spelling test because they already know all the words. – Dima Ershaid
We came to Kumon of Perrysburg because my daughter Amanda, even though she was doing very well in school, was starting to be intimidated by math. She was doing O.K. in math, but you could tell she was starting to lose her confidence and just didn’t like it as much. We brought her to Kumon and now it’s one of her strongest subjects. She is so much more confident when she does math, whereas before, it just wasn’t what she wanted to do.

Last year my daughter was having a really hard time with school. She didn’t like it, she didn’t want to go and it was a fight. We heard about Kumon of Perrysburg from my dad’s co-worker whose daughter had been going for a couple years. Within two months of starting with Kumon, my daughter’s confidence went through the roof. We’ve been there for about 6 months now and her reading fluency has almost doubled, going from 35 words per minute to over 60 words per minute. It’s amazing! Her grades last quarter were all A’s with one B. I was very skeptical at first, but it’s night and day. It’s so nice to have her excited about school and learning again. – Alison Kolasinski
We use Kumon to supplement my kids’ school work. I’m a working mom and, most days, don’t pick them up from school until after 6 pm. Kumon is a good way for them to get additional work in certain subjects.
I never looked into other options for a couple of reasons. Kumon is in Perrysburg and very close to our home and, with work schedules, is very convenient. I’ve also had friends who sent their children to Kumon of Perrysburg and heard good things from them. So once we decided to enroll them in some sort of enrichment program, there was no doubt in my mind that Kumon was a good choice for us. – Jean Lee
